Youth Initiative Program Application – Delta Academy
The Greenville (SC) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is pleased to announce the Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy is currently accepting applications for the 2020-2021 virtual program year.
Delta Academy was created out of the Sorority’s bold determination to save our young African-American girls (ages 11-14) from academic failure, low self-esteem and to expose them to worlds beyond their imagination. The primary goal of the program is to prepare young girls for full participation as leaders in the 21st century.
Criteria for Participation:
The following criteria will be used to determine eligibility:

Entering or attending middle school (grades 6-8) and/or ages 11-14

Submit a completed application

Submit all applicable parent/guardian forms to participate with parent/guardian signature

Attend the mandatory student/parent orientation session
