From Our President
Welcome to the Greenville (SC) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated website. The County of Greenville is located along I-85 between Charlotte, North Carolina (2-hour drive) and Atlanta, Georgia (1.5-hour drive). Nestled along the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Greenville is the largest county in the state. We have been recognized as Conde Nast Traveler’s “Best Small Cities in the U.S.,” and we are listed as one of People magazine’s 10 Hottest Foodie Cities in America. Flourishing with a robust economy steeped in manufacturing and a future in innovation, Greenville is poised as a major hub for the state of South Carolina.
The Greenville (SC) Alumnae Chapter‘s industrious spirit is no different than the County it sits in. Chartered on April 9, 1947, GSCAC is home to over 150 college educated women dedicated to Sisterhood, Scholarship and Service. Our chapter provides an extensive array of public service initiatives through our Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:
- Economic Development
- Educational Development
- International Awareness and Involvement
- Physical and Mental Health
- Political Awareness and Involvement
